Hello, I had 425cc high profile under muscle done 7 days ago. My left breast has slowly made its way down and I don't have that awful pressure . My right breast has not budged at all and I feel it tighten throughout the day esp when I work. I am right handed.I was a 32 C Cup prior to surgery. I was wondering since it is under the muscle and high profile if it's going to take a bit longer to start dropping. When should I start seeing a change, subtle change at least.
Answer: BA results Dear edvina1988,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Breast Implant Recovery Thank you for your question. You are still very early in recovery process and you can expect your breasts to change significantly over the next several weeks and months. The implants will continue to drop and settle in place on the chest in the upcoming weeks. Always contact and keep in communication with your surgeon, as he/she may have specific instructions for your recovery. Be patient with the process and know that your results will continue to change and progress over time. Best of luck!

Answer: High Profile 425cc under muscle. 7 days post-op. When should I start seeing a change? Thank you for your question and best wishes on a continued smooth recovery. After placement of implants, the appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. Currently the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. As this swelling resolves, the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and filling your bra cup more. This initial dropping takes 6-8 weeks for most patients and up to 4-6 months for your final results. Hope this helps.

Answer: Early Evaluation Hi, Thank you for your question. You are too early into your considerations, you need to give it more time to settle. You are only 7 days post op which is too early to determine what your breasts will look like. They will settle over time. At this time what you are describing is normal so be patient and you should see final results within 4 to 6 months. Just follow instructions given by your doctor and you will see drastic change. It is very important to stay compressed wearing a bra that both supports and pushes the implants into your desired place. I do like the caromed bar which does this quiet well. Hope this helps, Dr. Dillon
