There are several non-invasive options for improving scars. KEYWORD "improving". For a start, you may consider topical silicone based products which require routine application for several months and several hours a day. Additionally, local injections with steroids and/or 5-FU can help soften the scars as well. For another "non-invasive" option, several lasers exist which can improve the color and texture of the scars. Lastly, for more drastic results, skin resurfacing with lasers or dermabrasion would be the next best thing.
