We recommend a HIDEF Scar revision which includes application of Plato's Scar Serum and a retinoid for two weeks, laser therapy for texture and color and redness, followed by RF therapy to improve contour. Finally, microfractional laser for final microtexture. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
There are several non-invasive options for improving scars. KEYWORD "improving". For a start, you may consider topical silicone based products which require routine application for several months and several hours a day. Additionally, local injections with steroids and/or 5-FU can help soften the scars as well. For another "non-invasive" option, several lasers exist which can improve the color and texture of the scars. Lastly, for more drastic results, skin resurfacing with lasers or dermabrasion would be the next best thing. NOTE: If you want to "remove" the current scars you have, only a revision Facelift/necklift several years down the road (once enough skin laxity develops) would be able to address the scars more definitively by replacing them with better scars.Hope this helps,Blake Raggio, MD
