Question

I am Asian Indian, 36 yr old. I have tan skin, suddenly last year 2 dark spots appeared on my both cheeks, and cystic acne. I tried Tazorac 0.25%, HQ 8% cream with Kojic acid & IPL treatments (1 full face and 3 spot tx). Currently I am on oral antibiotic and spironlactone. I think Taz helped me with acne significantly but IPL left me with 5 spots. no change in brown spots, and 2 IPL burn spots. I want to know if VI peel for acne skin is a good option for me, or something else...Please help

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. The VI Peel would be the best peel for your skin type and the skin concerns you're describing. VI peels are colorblind, therefore they target damaged skin and bring it to the surface in order to slough it off. It will reveal beautiful rejuvenated skin. IPL's are not the best option for darker skin tones because they can cause more damage in darker skin like hyper or hypo-pigmentation. A VI peel would be great option to get rid of pigment, help with tone fine lines, wrinkles, as well as acne. It helps reduce acne scars and is anti-aging. This peel seems like the best option for you!

Pigmentation issues in darker skin can often be a challenge. There are quite a few different lasers and peels that can be helpful to even out skin tone irregularities, but you should see a physician that specializes in facial aesthetics to get a thorough exam and discuss all of the treatment options.
