Will a second fat transfer help my uneven breasts? (Photo)

Question

I’m a little over a year out from my breast lift+fat transfer to both breasts. I’m not sure exactly how much fat was transferred, but more was put into my right (smaller) breast, though not much of the fat stayed. Maybe half cup size increase to both. Will a second round give me a fuller lower breast? To make them match. Maybe not perfectly, but more lower volume would be nice. Or would implants be the only way to go? My breasts are about a cup size different.

If more fat can be transferred to give them a larger size, it depends on whether you have more fat to extract, you should also be aware that not all the fat survives, maximum not 70% is what can stay but it can be even less

In most cases one can achieve about one cup size increase with a fat transfer. For asymmetry, more fat will need to be placed into the smaller side after swelling has subsided, you can expect an average of 1/3 of the transferred fat to be reabsorbed.

You are better off getting implants. Fat does not have enough force (elastic modulus) to enlarge the smaller and tighter breast. Implants do.

If you have donor fat, then the transfer can be done again. However, the fat transfer, as you have seen, is not guaranteed for a certain size. Implants can be selected to correct the difference between the breasts and give a more certain increase in size.

The photo is partially covered with cloths and only shows a front view. It appears that the right nipple areolar complex is high on this side versus the left. Fat grafting can equalize cup size but will not adjust the nipple height. It appears that the left NAC needs to be raised. An examination and proper photos are needed to make an accurate plan.
