This probably lies in the realm of more complex orthognathic surgery. I am interested in getting a sliding genioplasty, with some horizontal and vertical projection. I am aware that step-offs occur. Is feathering the cut to the back of the mandible possible, like in the attached picture? I hear many doctors talk about step-offs, but it seems like this would mildly solve that problem. Does anyone do this?
