Is it safe to do J-Plasma on obese patients? (Photo)

Question

I am overweight but are what people would call solid. I look lighter than I am. But, with age my skin has become lax and dimply. I need to lose 100 lbs. but do not want to wait a year to have the J-plasma procedure. Is it safe to do it now? I'm 5'1 and 240 lbs. 48 years old.

of course you can do the procedure but it will not help you at all. would be better for you to get bariatric surgery and.or start hormonal therapy (see link).  when you have lost all the weight then have body lifting. Best, Dr. Emer.

J plasma is almost always done in conjunction with Liposuction.

My personal first-hand experience was pretty dismal with this device. I have since sold the equipment because it showed virtually no skin tightening in the cases that I did.

I suggest you focus primarily on weight loss until you’ve made some headway then have formal in person consultations for proper skin laxity surgery.
