Would Minoxidil be a good treatment to restore eyebrows/unibrow that I have frequently plucked? (Photo)

Question

The hair seemed to transform from thick terminal hair to smaller vellus hairs after being plucked very frequently for 6-8 months. How long would it take to restore the hair and what kind of damage could have been caused in that time? Is scaring a possibility?

Repeat plucking often leads to chronic inflammation and development of scar tissue. If hair growth is desired use of minoxidil, bimatoprost and topical steroids can be considered. However, it is often not helpful in these cases as described here.

Hair does not regrow well after repeated plucking whether you use Rogaine (5% minoxidil) or not. Best to avoid repeated plucking and see what returns.

If you had lost eyebrow hair from constant plucking then you have traction alopecia of those hair and they will not come back with minoxidil
