I'm going on Accutane within the month but leaving the country for about 5 weeks, will I be able to continue when I come home?

I am about to begin Accutane (starting end of March/beginning of April 2017). I talked with my dermatologist about the options but am curious to see if anyone has any solid answers. I will be leaving the country from June 8th-July 18th to backpack Europe. My dermatologist said we could set it up so that I get my prescription right before I leave and then get my blood work done right when I come home. But will I have to be placed on another 30 day hold?

The only time you have to be on a 30 day hold is the original time after enrolling in the program, and then if you miss your window (meaning you don't follow the timing your doctor has given you). So if you follow what your doctor has laid out for timing, you will be fine. If you mess it up then you could be on a 30 day hold again. So basically, do what your doctor says and it will be ok for timing.
