Can a series of Microneedling treatment help remove malar mounds?

Hello hellodolly46,Thanks for your question.Microneedling can help tighten a little bit of the loose skin associated with malar mounds but they will not be removed.The treatments that seem to work are as follows:1. Total excision of the malar mound - leaves a scar on the cheek and limited to very large mounds2. Laser resurfacing of the mound skin with skin pinch blepharoplasty3. To answer your question, micro needling produces micro injury to your skin to a depth of 2 mm maximum, so is used for improvement on the surface of your skin, reduction of prominences on your cheek area will not occur. A picture of your problem area would be helpful to determine what treatment option would be good for you.
