Are there certain skin care products that should be avoided with vitiligo?

I have vitiligo on my face which I am currently treating.I have heard to avoid products with hydroquinone and permanent hair dyes, but was wondering if products with ingredients that claim to inhibit melanin production (niacinamide, retinol,Kojic acid,ect) would exacerbate my vitiligo. I also have melasma and would like to use an exfoliant to try to improve the dark spots. I hesitate to even use all natural exfoliants. Could these ingredients make my vitiligo worse or discourage repigmintation?

Hello, and thank you for your question! While you should apply sunscreen after a microdermabrasion treatment you should really be applying sunscreen to your face daily as well.

Hi, Microdermabrasion will soften and improve discoloration from acne scarring but it will not improve the scar itself. Where as microneedling will address and improve the area treated by stimulating collagen production causing dermal layer health to improve filling in the acne scars....
