Are there certain skin care products that should be avoided with vitiligo?

Giving247356
I have vitiligo on my face which I am currently treating.I have heard to avoid products with hydroquinone and permanent hair dyes, but was wondering if products with ingredients that claim to inhibit melanin production (niacinamide, retinol,Kojic acid, ect) would exacerbate my vitiligo. I also have melasma and would like to use an exfoliant to try to improve the dark spots. I hesitate to even use all natural exfoliants. Could these ingredients make my vitiligo worse or discourage repigmintation?
