I had a BBL done on the 20th of July. I am not completely satisfied with the amount of fat that was transferred but my surgeon explained that my skin would not stretch enough to accommodate more. My prob is that I have an interview in a few days. At that time I'll be 13 days post op. I'll be using the BBL pillow to drive but I dont think it will be appropriate to use it during the actual interview. I'm already dissatisfied with the size of my butt, will sitting during the interview cause damage?
Answer: BBL post op Thank you for your question,Every surgeon has different post-op instructions, please speak to your surgeon if you are concerned. Generally speaking, you should be fine to sit after your 2 week mark. However, most patients are proactive and extend standing longer.Regards,

Answer: Is It Too Soon To Sit After BBL 10 Days Post Op? When fat is grafted into one's buttocks, the grafted fat cells live on plasma leaked from the surrounding tissue for the first few days. These fat cells, depending on how healthy each cell is, will live for an extended period of time on local plasma, will then eventually create new blood vessels which connect the newly transplanted cells to the blood supply of the pre-existing fat cells. This process can take weeks to months, and it is inhibited by dead fat cells, blood and other tissue which stimulates the inflammatory process. If you were my patient, I would give you Accolate which inhibits the inflammatory process, therefore keeping more fat cells alive. I would also recommend that you get ultrasound (the kind physical therapists use for sore muscles) on your buttocks to promote neovascularization and oxygenation, and also by way of the sound waves, smooths out the fat that has been transplanted. Because we use a post BBL cushion which allows the patient to sit, not on their butt, but rather on their posterior thighs, if you were my patient, I would allow you to sit after the first 5 days, but only if using the cushion.

Answer: Not using BBL pillow during post-op visit 13 days post-op During the first six weeks after a BBL, sitting is to minimized. If you have to sit, it is critical that every 30 minutes or an hour you get up and stand for a few seconds to take the pressure off. This reduces the chance for fat necrosis. After 6 weeks the fat has revascularized, and you have a very good idea of your final results. At 10 days, it's too early to judge the results of your BBL.You are wise to use the pillow when you drive. During your post op visit, take the pressure off your buttocks by sitting on the edge of the chair and leaning forward. This way, the weight will be placed on your thighs. Answer: Sitting Sitting or lying on the back should be avoided for the first couple of weeks after surgery, and cushions should be placed under the buttocks for several weeks afterwards, to avoid putting pressure on the buttocks while it heals. I recommend my patients should avoid sitting on anything hard, like a metal chair or wood barstool. Good luck!

Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Certainly it's too soon to sit down 10 days after the BBL, but if is just for a moment i don't think that will ruin the BBL.I recommend you to ask directly to your plastic surgeon about his/her instructions.Good luck :)
