I had abdominal liposuction five months ago and despite lots of exercise and massages it look terrible due what I believe is lots of fibrosis. Would treatment with Emsculpt, Emtone or Endermologie help my condition? Thanks, Amparo
Answer: Fibrosis treatment with Emsculpt, Emtone or Endermologie? Sorry for the results. Appears to aggressive superficial liposuction was done causing skeletonization of the subdermal sub cutaneous fat layers resulting in wise observed denting, waves, irregularties of the complete abdominal skin. In my opinion those external non invasive technologies are worthless! But unfortunately there is not much that any PS can offer in correction. If you desire to attemot to use these technologies go ahead and try a few sessions. But be prepared not to see much improvement if any with a high costs in time and $$s.

Answer: Undesirable Liposuction outcome Your outcome is unfortunate. I’m curious if this was done using a power device such as VASER? The primary problem was that too much fat was removed and it was removed in an uneven fashion. You know have insufficient fat layers that are also irregular. None of the treatments you mentioned correct this. Converting this to a full tummy tuck may give us some improvements because it looks like you were a good candidate for that procedure in the first place. I would wait a long time before doing that. Probably a year. It is going to be difficult to get any realistic improvements from your outcome. Some revision Liposuction may be in order but converting this to a full tummy tuck may be the only realistic option. These type of decisions are complex I need to be done during in person consultations. Make sure you follow up with your provider so that he or she knows the outcome of your procedure. It’s also worthwhile writing some reviews about your experience to warn others. I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation and as much as I would like there are no great treatments they can fix your disfigurement completely. Patients who have had bad outcomes are often gun shy to undergo major surgical procedures again. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
