Desperate to get silicone microdroplets removed from my face! Advice?

I had silicone microdroplets injected into my acne scars a year ago, a month after I noticed I was getting granulomas so I had them injected with cortisone at least 5 times & it didn't make a difference, I am self-conscious I hate looking in the mirror, I don't want to be seen and even when I go out I feel the first thing that people see is bumps. Can I please get an idea of the cost? Please suggest someone who is very reliable experienced remover of silicone from the face? Thank you.

Hello, I am sorry you had silicone injected into your face and that now you are having problems with facial silicone microdroplets and residual scar tissue. You must realize that silicone is permanent and needs to be surgically removed. Steroids, hyaluronidase, antibiotics, or a chemical peel will NOT remove the silicone that was injected into your face. Based on your history and pictures, I would suggest deep dermabrasion. During deep dermabrasion, these areas are abraded or sanded down and the silicone microdroplets and surrounding scar tissue are removed. I specialize in silicone removal . Since removing silicone is a big procedure, please seek an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with significant experience in removing facial silicone. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. The feasibility of Silicone biopolymer removal depends on the degree of inflammation and symptoms associated with the fillers. In our office, we gauge the level of soft tissue reaction in order to assess the candidacy for surgical excision vs. non-surgical management.

Only method is directed surgical excisions. And even that might not remove all the silicone droplets 100%. Best to see PS for evaluation and try test excision on an area to see the healing results..
