I am a 51 year old female and this is my only second time for lip filler. I had it done by my dermatologist 3 months ago. She used half a syringe of rha2. She injected only from the outside corners of my mouth. My philtrum is very heavy, and also around the outside of my lips is heavy. I feel I have loss of my true lip shape which I loved. One year ago, I had lip fillers with a plastic surgeon who used restalyne lift and less than half a syringe and the results were beautiful. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this? My dermatologist says to masssge the lips so the filler will fall into place. The first pic is three mos. out from rha2, and the second pic is three days after filler with a plastic surgeon. Thanks for your answers !

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
A syringe of filler may only be used on one patient. It may not be used for multiple patients as this can introduce contamination and communicable diseases. If your initial syringe of filler had been used entirely or expired, a new syringe must have been used.
Most providers use local anesthesia with Epinephrine. That medication causes tissues to vasoconstrict and on lips they often turn white for about an hour immediately after the procedure.
It sounds like you’re a provider hit a blood vessel passing a hematoma most likely the labial artery.
