This is very much individual technique dependant procedure. Since this is very subtle change, it is impossible to see it on these photos. You may need to seek a help from your more succesful plastic surgeon. Good luck.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your filler treatment. You can attempt to massage the area, but I'm not sure it will result in the look you are wanting especially three months after treatment. You can elect to dissolve the filler and try again with a different injector, or you can wait for the product to wear off gradually.

If anyone should be massaging your lips to distribute the filler correctly it is the provider.
From your post it sounds like you were happy with one provider and unhappy with the other. I suggest you stick with the plastic surgeon who it sounds like delivered better results.
I also only inject lips from the corner of the mouth and use a long enough needle to be able to reach across each quadrant of the mouth.
I personally also pre-inject the lips using lidocaine with epinephrine. By injecting small amounts of local anesthesia very slowly there is very little discomfort with the entire procedure. The local anesthetic creates vasoconstriction minimizing the chance of bleeding and bruising after the procedure.
If done slowly and carefully there should be virtually no significant pain with the procedure and once the lips are numb The surgeon can take their time and focus on Aesthetic injections without concern of patient’s discomfort or creating bruising.
There is substantial difference in the skill and technique among various providers.
Finding the right one isn’t always easy.
For results that are not acceptable I suggest you follow up with the provider who did the treatment asking either for them to revise or reverse the filler.
HA fillers can be reversed by injecting an enzyme that dissolves the filler.
In doing so patients lose all the benefit of the filler but I put back at the base line if the result is unacceptable and not correctable.

It may help to do a massage a few times a day for two weeks. It just appears that the placement from two different injectors and two different products is noticeable. Perhaps a visit to your plastic surgeon and maybe they can take a bit out and re distribute.
