How to increase Hemoglobin level in two weeks?

It will be difficult to boost your hemoglobin by 2 points in 2 weeks.  More importantly a hemoglobin of 10 is at the low end of normal, so it my be worthwhile to see your PCP and review your lab work.  They may also review any prior lab tests, re-order the test if they believe it is a lab error, and try to determine a cause for anemia if this result is correct.  Standard treatment would include iron supplementation and a healthy diet, but I think it would be prudent to first see your PCP.   

Thanks for your question.I routinely do surgery on patients with a hemoglobin of 10.  I usually try to have their private MD work up why the level is low, but otherwise anything above a level of 9 is acceptable as per my base hospital as well.Taking Iron pills with Vitamen C will help boost your level if it is caused by an Iron deficiency.  The only caveat is that it takes more than 2 weeks to raise your hemoglobin 2 points.What procedure are you having done?Best of luck.Dr, T.

Your hemoglobin will unlikely improve in two weeks. It can take a few months for it to go up a few points.  Best to review with your doctor.
