I have had previous laser treatments over a 5 year period, including the Q-laser, and Ruby. These were mostly successful, although there is still green and blue left (albeit faded). I've not had a treatment for several years as I was waiting for a new laser to come onto the market. I've also heard of the Alexandrite laser, as I am specfically looking for a green / blue colour removal. I am also looking to remove another tattoo which is mostly purple / black, would I need another laser for these colours?

Answer: Green ink is best removed with a red laser, PicoSure (picosecond 755nm), Q-Switched Alexandrite (755nm) or Ruby (694nm) laser.
Thank you for your question, I would recommend my patients to wait minimum 8-10 weeks before beginning any treatment this will give the body time to heal properly.
Thank you for your question. Picosure is not a good laser for a red ink tattoo. Your tattoo will be best treated with a 532 wavelength laser. Picosure is best for dark colors such as black, blue, and green and purple. I recommend addressing your concerns with your treating physician. Best of Luck!
It is generally wise to wait
about 4 weeks from the time the tattoo was applied before beginning PicoSure
Laser treatments. This allows the area
to completely heal and ensures the skin is healthy enough to receive
treatment. In my practice, we utilize the PicoSure Laser exclusively...
