Dr. Bekhor is a real God sent. I consulted many dermatologists and had many treatments. The only one who helped me get rid of my extremely severe problem was the excellent Dr. Bekhor. I will never ever trust anyone with my face. The staff at the clinic are extremely professional, helpful and well mannered. Dr Bekhor's excellent expertise, his humanitarian characteristics and psychological understanding of my situation are second to none. He explained to me every single procedure, helped me with my social and psychological issues and even followed up my after treatment care personally. He spared no moment with me. He took his time to treat me and council me. He made me feel confident and restored my self esteem. His staff call me every week to check on me to see how im doing. Well I am extremely happy, and never looked back. Thank you so so much Dr. Bekhor and thank you so much to the beautiful and well mannered staff. Mireille Talj
Just had my follow up review for the Fraxel Laser on my face. After years of using the sun to cover my acne ,it left me with a lot of sun damage.I couldn't be happier with the results.I didn't find it that painful at all, and the down time was a few days. All in all I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I will !
I have an annual check up with my Dermatologist to check for any sign of skin cancers. In the past I have had approx 5 BCC's removed from various parts of my body. At my recent check up Dr Bekhor performed a biopsy on what looked like a harmless freckle-like lesion which was diagnosed as a Level 1 melanoma. He successfully excised this lesion with no further treatment necessary. I am very grateful to Dr Bekhor for his expertise in recognising such an early melanoma.
For 9 years I have been a patient of Dr Bekhor who has been treating me for scarring. I have found him to be extremely professional and sensitive to my needs. I am delighted with the outcome of my treatment. I have found the nurses and office staff to be courteous and very caring and therefore I highly recommend this surgery.
I have had severe underarm sweating (hyperhydrosis) for as long as I can remember. I was searching for Botox options online when u came across Miradry and decided to put up the $2000 AUD for the initial treatment. My treatment was performed by two extremely proficient nurses. Initially I had lignocaine and adrenaline injections (about 20 per side), followed by 50ml of saline per side (10 injections per side) to assist with the procedure. The initial injections were a little painful but bearable. The Miradry treatment started and thanks to the local, I was unable to feel any heating on one whole side. Some further local injections were required on the remaining side due to slight burning feeling. I over 24hrs post procedure and have maintained anti-inflammatory (ibuprofen), the recommended anti-bacterial gel and pain killers as required. I have been home all day with ice on regularly. I woke this morning with extremely swollen and hard armpits, but over the course of the day, the inflammation has gone down significantly and the bruising has come out. I have had NO sweating since the procedure and am feeling significantly better than expected! Updated on 22 Jun 2015: Swelling has decreased dramatically and just some minor bruising remains. No pain at all!
Dr Bekhor is a professional, knowledgeable and caring doctor who is easy to talk to. I was recommended the PicoSure FOCUS Lens Array for skin rejuvenation and sun spots. I had a package of 3 treatments with the fourth being a free treatment. All information was discussed and my questions and concerns answered. Each treatment takes approximately 15 minutes spaced 2 weeks apart. There was no down time and is definitely a walk in walk out procedure. There is some slight redness following each treatment but disappeared within approximately 20 minutes. A zimmer which blows cold air was all I needed for skin cooling during the procedure. I applied a sunscreen SPF50 after each treatment then went to work straight after. No one noticed I had just had a laser treatment. Dr Beckor and his staff at Laser Dermatology are extremely professional, understanding, experienced and welcoming. I felt totally secure with their skills. My overall experience was fantastic. It is a wonderful feeling to get great results and have a doctor you can trust. I highly recommend Laser Dermatology to absolutely everyone.
I have undergone an extremely painful procedure in the past where dr bekhor and his friendly staff have been so welcoming, accommodating and helpful I have severe keloid scarring and half a tattoo to remove and dr bekhor has been so helpful! From the second I walked in there they all put my mind at ease as they are trying to get this tattoo off my back for my wedding at the end of the years! After 4 sessions of injections my keloid scarring is pretty much flat and almost gone! My results are anazing I could not recommend dr Phillip bekhor and all the staff at laser dermatology highly enough Definitely recommend Updated on 13 Jul 2015: At the beginning of last year I thought it was a good idea to do a NON-LASER SKINIAL PROCEDURE where the inject lactic acid into your tattoo via method of a tattoo gun. They perform 21 dots of supposedly max of 8mm and no more per session. I had 4 sessions each costing several hundreds... which resulted in severe Keloid Scarring and an abomination on my back. I was getting a large tattoo removed on my shoulder to try and get it off for my wedding which was supposed to be December 2014. The tattoo removal went severely wrong and resulted in red severe keloid scarring and half a tattoo still remaining on my back and I was under IMMENSE STRESS and tears all the time. I called around... and landed myself on a gold mine. BOX HILL LASER DERMATOLOGY. I spoke with Lynne Bekhor about everything including my wedding coming up and knew straight away what I was going through and although Dr Phillip Bekhors busy schedule, they managed to fit me in. I then saw Dr Bekhor and Box Hill Laser Dermatology and the second I walked in, the staff, Dr Bekhor and just everyone was just completely amazing. I burst out into tears because I couldn't believe anybody would help me. They have welcomed me in with open arms, and are so personal but still remain professional. They know what I'm going through and have been so accommodating. I need Cortisone injections in my back for the keloid scarring whch I've now had 5 sessions of injections and the keloid scarring is almost gone. For the remainder of the Tattoo that needs removing, they are using a PicoSure laser on my back which the tattoo has got a lot lighter. In saying all this, I cannot recommend Box Hill Laser Dermatology high enough. I rate them 5 stars - would rate them 10 stars if I could.
Dr Bekhor is fantastic! I had a terrible experience at another clinic that left me with serious damage to my skin. Dr Bekhor has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to assist me in trying to rectify the damage caused by this other laser operator. Going to Laser Dermatology was the best thing I ever did! I cannot praise Dr Bekhor and his staff of lovely nurses enough. You are in safe hands going here, reasonably priced based on what you require and the very best care you could ever ask for! You will not regret going here! Do yourself a favour and don't go anywhere else.
I have full faith in this doctor. He is excellent, both technically and from a caring perspective. His advice can be trusted. He listens, he is digitally savvy and presents at many medical conferences, sharing his knowledge with the broader medical community. The staff at the clinic are extremely professional and efficient.
I am a 46 year old outdoor girl - skiing, climbing, surfing, mountaineering, bushwalking, you name it. I have fabulous genes in many ways, but wrinkles run in our family and with all the sun exposure, I looked far older than my age. I had Fraxel Repair in early november and it went really well - healed up within 7 days, back at work by day 10...it was really painful during the procedure but no pain after. Results: amazing. I look 5-10 years younger. My skin is plump and looks full of moisture - not sagging and tired. Updated on 1 Mar 2012: It is almost 4 months and the results keep getting better. Had photos taken with my dermatologist and side by side, you can see the amazing result. Will post photos as soon as I get them.
There is no doubt the PicoSure is exceptionally effective on green and blue ink but we have found that the initial marketing claims of the company have been somewhat over-ambitious in their claims of rapid removal of whole tattoos, especially dark black ink. PicoSure will not remove red ink. Laser Dermatology as well as the PicoSure Laser has the superior Q-switched YAG (Revlite) and the SInon Q-switched Ruby lasers to enhance outcomes for all colours. Red ink is one of the easiest colours to remove if you have the right equipment; the YAG laser at 532nm wavelength. In our specialist dermatology centre serial digital photography is done to check your progress and under Dr Bekhor's direction we have developed different testing techniques to enhance the action of both the PicoSure and the Revlite. With over 22 years’ experience in laser tattoo removal we have learnt the importance of being cautious in determining individual responses as no tattoos are the same and the process involves the response of an individual’s immune system to facilitate the removal of the ink. The best equipment in the world is not the best without experience and expertise in its use. As a specialist medical clinic we are able to offer medical grade pain relief including local anaesthetic. Melbourne is saturated with tattoo removal “clinics”, many owned and staffed by people with no medical or laser experience. The cheaper prices may be attractive but do consider the outcome - Laser Dermatology is a specialist Dermatology practice with over 22 years’ of experience in a variety of laser skin treatments. It is one of the few laser clinics in Melbourne that has the benefit of supervision by experienced medical staff and the safety that comes with that expertise and experience. It' important to check the experience of the operators in Perth.
It is possible to treat extensive tattooing in one session - your immune system will still do it's job. The only limiting factor is pain management. If you require local anaesthetic injections the size of your treatmetn will be limited by the maximum dosage of lignocaine that can be administered (there is a formula based on your body weight). You may respond to inhaled Penthrox which does not have a dosage limit or you may have a really high pain threshold and can manage without pain relief (you would be in the minority).Be guided by your laser practitioner - preferably a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, and their experienced laser registered nurses.
There is no doubt that a healthy functioning lymphatic system is necessary to clear ink particles after laser tattoo treatment. A balanced diet ( which will contain adequate anti--oxidants) and exercise is essential for optimum performance of all bodily functions at all times. Conversely, smoking HAS been demonstrated to prolong the tattoo removal process. So the seminal message is:- follow your doctor's post-treatment recommendations, eat well, exercise, stay healthy and don't smoke. It will still take time but you are giving yourself the best chance of a good outcome.
While there are no actual contra-indications to laser hair removal there are some important considerations. It is important to exclude any pathological cause of excessive facial hair in one so young. This can be screened by your GP, dermatologist or endocrinologist. Secondly, laser treatment is uncomfortable. Even with cooling systems and icing it is not overly pleasant. We find younger patients less tolerant of this discomfort but it really is an individual response. Finally, it is important to find a medical laser clinic that can offer a variety of lasers which will be safe on your daughter's skin, no matter how dark her skin may be. Remember too, that summer is coming and laser treatment cannot be performed on tanned skin. The best place to start is with a consultation in a recognised and experienced medical laser clinic, preferably under the supervision of a laser dermatologist.
I was struck by the bright blue/aqua ink of your tattoo - assuming the colour has not been distorted by the photography my feeling is that this tattoo will not respond well to either laser you have tried. The new PicoSure picosecond 755nm (not 755 nanosecond) is the right laser for you. The presence of scabbing and blistering suggests that your treatment settings may have been a bit aggressive but it's really too early to be concerned about hypopigmentation, which often resolves over time anyway. Of more importance is the choice of the correct laser system for your tattoo and our experience shows that this colour responds rapidly and reliably with a the PicoSure used in an experienced medical laser practice.
