No, an umbilicoplasty will not tighten any skin near your umbilicus. The loose skin above your abdomen is actually a product of the loose skin (and subcutaneous tissue) of your entire abdomen. If you want any result of skin tightening, you'll need a tummy tuck. If your resistance to a tummy tuck is the scar, I understand. Keep in mind though, that tummy tuck scars don't need to be so high and look so unnatural. Any patient can get a very low scar that blends in with the contours of the lower abdomen and pubic area.
