Can Umbilicoplasty remove the loose skin above the belly button (navel)? (Photo)

Question

I am not interested in tummy tuck. My stretch marks on my abdomen don't seem to bother me. It's the loose skin above my belly button that I am embarrassed of. Would it be possible to cut the skin around my belly button and have the Incision hidden within the navel? I am not looking for Perfection but I would like to be Comfortable in my own skin so I am wondering if any surgeons perform Umbilicoplasty surgery and remove some of the skin around the navel

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you don't have much loose skin so belly button surgery might be enough. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

No, an umbilicoplasty will not tighten any skin near your umbilicus. The loose skin above your abdomen is actually a product of the loose skin (and subcutaneous tissue) of your entire abdomen. If you want any result of skin tightening, you'll need a tummy tuck. If your resistance to a tummy tuck is the scar, I understand. Keep in mind though, that tummy tuck scars don't need to be so high and look so unnatural. Any patient can get a very low scar that blends in with the contours of the lower abdomen and pubic area.
