It all depends on what your final result will be. Lets say you are planning to do something called a fixed bridge on implants it might take 5-8 implants on the bottom and 6-8 implants on the top. If the plan was to do an over denture ( basically having a denture that clicks into the implants) than you can consider having less implants placed. Implant placement might determine if you need any extra procedures done to make you a candidate. Some one might need implants on the upper right and left side of the maxilla. If the sinuses are too close you might need to do a sinus lift and possible bone graft. In conclusion, implant procedure can range drastically in price depending on the location and the type of end result you are looking for.
