It all depends on what your final result will be. Lets say you are planning to do something called a fixed bridge on implants it might take 5-8 implants on the bottom and 6-8 implants on the top. If the plan was to do an over denture ( basically having a denture that clicks into the implants) than you can consider having less implants placed. Implant placement might determine if you need any extra procedures done to make you a candidate. Some one might need implants on the upper right and left side of the maxilla. If the sinuses are too close you might need to do a sinus lift and possible bone graft. In conclusion, implant procedure can range drastically in price depending on the location and the type of end result you are looking for. You should seriously consider the All-on-4 treatment approach. It can be highly aesthetic and functional. It is essentially fixed teeth attached to 4 implants on the upper and 4 implants on the lower. The fee ranges $40-$60. You may be able to get it cheaper.
