After 35% TCA Peel, my skin turned dark brown. Is this normal?

wilst on holiday the day before my return home i decided to have tca 35% on some sun spot on my face , on few hours after the application my skin turn dark brown i am on my third day and they are still dark brown no swelling or burning but no peeling yet. is it normal? will the brown color desappear? how long will it take. i am a little worried . thanks for your help .stefania from italy

All chemical peels have risk. Acne scars require deeper chemical peels to achieve efficacy. In our office, we recommend application of Melarase creams prior to chemical peeling to reduce the chance of surface discoloration. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

I never suggest anyone apply TCA to the face on their own.  You could easily scar or cause pigmentation changes if the wrong amount is put on.  Pores get slightly better but do not improve completely.  TCA is better for wrinkles and antiaging.  I suggest seeing a cosmetic...
