I have a cleft chin. It's really big and deep and it looks gross especially because I'm female. I want to fix it permanently because it ruins my face.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Fillers for a cleft chin For cleft chins, I prefer to use a filler since that seems to achieve the most natural looking and natural feeling result. I recommend to my patients that we start with a temporary filler like Juvederm Voluma first. Voluma is a temporary filler that's also completely reversible, but it allows the patient to see whether they like the results before committing to a more permanent filler. In the U.S., Bellafill is the only FDA-approved permanent filler and I like it because of that permanence. All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®

Answer: Cleft chin In some people, the bony chin is not rounded but has the identical cleft as seen in the skin. A custom chin implant made from a CT of your chin can be designed and placed in the center of the chin to provide a more rounded shape. In smaller clefts improvement can be achieved with subcision and fat or filler injections. Fat or filler injections are temporary while the chin implant would be a permanent solution. Good luck

Answer: Non- Surgical Chin Augmentation I typically will improve cleft chins using the longest lasting filler, Bellafill. This filler is FDA approved to last through 5 years and can be reversible if needed. The results are immediate and there is none to very little downtime depending on the patient. Most of my non-surgical chin augmentation patients just report tenderness/soreness up to 4-7 days after the Bellafill injection. Generally, 1 syringe of Bellafill is needed for the chin augmentation. Due to Bellafill's longevity, be sure to find an approved Bellafill injector from Bellafill's website.
