Had a Very Firm Hug 2 Weeks Post Breast Augmentation and Heard a Pop Noise?

Question

I got a very hard bear hug from a friend that didn't realize I wasn't healed. It was pressured more to my right side and I felt something like a pop and was in the worst pain ever. I still hurt and am worried its something severe and I need to get checked out? Right side is in pain and I am wondering what that feeling was? Implant might of shifted too but also I could be worrying and creating problems in my mind? Help!

After an implant has been established the capsule forms around it. The implant itself is almost impossible to break by pressure but the capsule my fracture with a firm hug. No harm will come from this.

A loud pop after a breast augmentation is strange. It is possible that you broke an internal stitch or fractured the breast capsule. It would be almost impossible to break an implant from a strong hug. Either way, you should see your surgeon right away so they can examine you.

A hug should not damage your implant but depending upon what was done, it may have disrupted scar tissue or sutures. Best to be seen in  person.

	Thank you for your question.  It is hard to know what is going on especially without any photos.  I would suggest you get examined by your plastic surgeon and tell them what happened.
