I called the Mentor company yesterday because I had some questions about their warranties. The person I spoke to, who didn't appear to be very knowledgeable about the warranty or product, told me that implants are not a lifetime device and needed to be changed every 10 years. I was under the impression that implants only needed to be removed if there is a rupture or if you have another medial condition but if they are still in tact there is no need to take them out even after 10+ years.
