When does the fat that didn't survive leave the body? Can a lot of the volume at 6 weeks be dead fat that will go away?

I had a BBL 6 weeks ago, love how it looks now. Feels like most of the swelling went away a week or two ago, feels softer. It got a lot smaller as it softened and now the size has been the same a week or two. I'm wondering when the fat that didn't survive will be gone, when is it usually that there is pretty much only fat that will make it? I've heard about how long swelling affects the size but confused about how long everything takes just fat-wise. Can it all still die and leave after months?
