Have flattening of your mid face, it may be worth considering injectable fillers as compared to a silicone implant. There is nothing wrong with silicone cheek implants, however, with time and loss of facial volume, sometimes they become visible and need to be removed. Thank you for this question...

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question you should not lie on it as much as possible, sleeping on your back and side is important in terms of protecting your nose, we recommend our patients to be careful after nose surgery. Best Regards!

Does alar base reduction bring the nostrils down?

You are based reduction is, simply put, nostril narrowing. Techniques for alarplasty are used in those people with a wide appearance to their nostrils and to the lower 1/3 of their nose on front view. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Some of the muscles that help elevate the top lip when smiling are temporarily injured in certain types of rhinoplasty surgery. These include the levatore labii superior aleque nasii and levator labii superioris muscle. I would speak to your surgeon about this.
