Can a deep appendectomy scar, that reaches to your belly button, all the way down to your navel be removed?

Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. Please post photos , you may need a scar revision or tummy tuck to change the skin/scar in that area.  Lasers are sometimes useful but will not get rid of the scar completely.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I assume that you meant a scar from your pubis to umbilicus. If it is a vertical scar and you have a lot of loose skin in the lower abdomen, then perhaps a tummy tuck can be performed to remove the vertical scar and convert it to a horizontal one.
