I have been injected with 8-1.5 ml of Radiesse over the last 12 months. I find that it looks great for a month but then it is absorbed and my cheeks become hollow again. Could they be watering this down since I am not seeing it last? They keep telling me I have a fast metabolism. Could that be the case?
Answer: Eight large # Radiesse syringes This is a lot of filler, certainly more than I have given anyone in one year. i have never seen a case of "fast metabolizer." I would suggest you have #Sculptra or #Voluma in future.

Answer: Fast metabolism and Radiesse - Is it true my body may be absorbing the product faster than others? Eight syringes of Radiesse in one year is a lot of filler, you may want to try using Voluma to help volumize and contour the cheek

Answer: Radiesse Eight 1.5 mL syringes of Radiesse is a lot of filler. I have had a great deal of success with Radiesse, but primarily use it for the nasolabial folds. Based on this story alone, I would suggest an alternative product for adding volume to the cheeks, such as Sculptra or Juvederm Voluma. Without pictures and knowledge of how and where the Radiesse was injected, it is difficult to provide further commentary.

Answer: More is not necessarily better In my practice every cosmetic patient is addressed separately as there are no "cookbook" approaches though after almost 20 years of filler experience I have seen some patients not have a prolonged effect but this is uncommon. We use many different fillers in the same patient to achieve a optimal correction. I would recommend you discuss with a dermatologist board certified and experienced in fillers in your area.

Answer: Is my metabolism too fast for Radiesse I have much success with Radiesse and certainly have never put 8 syringes into the same person in a year's time. With that being said, you cannot "water down" Radiesse. The syringe is pre-filled and there is not a way to take it out or add another solution in that waters it down. It's not like Botox where the injector mixes the product and pulls it out of a vial. So there's not a way to do that. You could have a fast metabolism, I suppose, but 8 syringes in less than a year says that either your injections aren't being done in a correct location or depth, or you simply need a different kind of filler used.
