I'm 48 , female, in Canada. The area all along my jaw has more fat than I can handle, up to the sides. I was told that the skin there is also a bit loose so I was recommended Lipo (submental) $2500 + FaceTite (neck and chin) $5,500, +tx . I'm confused because my understanding is that FaceTite can reduce fat while tightening skin, so is separate lipo typical? I can't afford both. If I had to choose one, which one would have the most visible improvement? I don't have a lot of wrinkles.

Answer: FaceTite vs Lipo: which one to choose? #facetite Patients in the late 40s usually present several signs of facial and neck aging like saggy skin, accumulation of fat in the lower face and chin area as well as jowls. FaceTite and Face/Neck liposuction are two different plastic surgery procedures. FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that tightens the skin using radiofrequency energy. The procedure can melt a little bit of fat below the skin but it is not a substitute to liposuction. Chin Liposuction or face liposuction are plastic surgery procedures designed to remove and reshape the excess fat of the chin, neck, and face. A liposuction procedure alone does not induce significant contraction of the face or neck skin when someone is in the late 40s. Very often, FaceTite and Liposuction are combined on the same surgical procedure to address both the saggy skin and excess fat of the face and neck. They are not interchangeable. Therefore depending on the patient's physical findings, either one, or the other or both might be needed

Answer: Facetite and Liposuction should be done together and combined with morpheus I pioneered facetite and you need liposuction with it, its always combined if you do just facetite you can get oil that builds up and causes issues (see link). also morpheus externally improves the result. you may need a facelift if there is significant loose skin. Best, Dr. Emer.
