Adding a little filler to the cheek bones will help to add volume to this area. There are multiple filler options that can accomplish this - Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse, etc. The physician injecting will typically inject deep (directly on the bone) to imitate the appearance of cheek bone/fat pad that usually provide structure to the face. Yes! A cheek augmentation can definitely help your face not appear as flat. You have a couple of different options: filler injections can be done during an office visit and produce good results, but are temporary (around 1-2 years depending on the material used). You can repeat the injections as you need to maintain the contour you want. You can also place a cheek implant. This would require a surgery, but it is permanent and the implants can be shaped to the face you are desiring.

Cheek augmentation along is not adequate to address your overall lack of midface projection. You really require a total midface augmentation with focus on adding no cheek width but pulling the entire midface forward. This is most effectively done by a custom midface mask implant placed through an intraoral approach.
