Is it possible to sustain eye damage during IPL Treatment?

I had an IPL yesterday. During the procedure my eyes hurt. I woke up this morning and the whites of my eyes are all bloody. Is this very serious? Should I go to an opthamologist?

If the eyes were covered and completely protected from the IPL light during the procedure, you should not have damage from IPL.  If you eyes were open and experience close, bright flashes of light eye damage is possible.

You should have been wearing goggles during your IPL treatment. This is mandatory for proper treatment. Were you not given goggles?? "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot
