I am very unhappy with the results of my Radiesse injections. Before the injections I looked 10 years younger than my 67 years. Now I look older than my 67 years. I am a very active person, working out rigorously at the gym daily. Will rigorous exercise expedite the dissolving process of the Radiesse? Also, considering my age, will my face return to it's youthful appearance once the Radiesse is dissolved or am I doomed to look older than my years now?
Answer: Surgical vs Non-surgical removal of radiesse Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of excellence for filler complication treatments and we see patients who have been treated by other doctors and have undesirable results from Radiesse or other long-lasting fillers. We have treatment options available for Radiesse filler nodules, granulomas, and soft tissue thickening. The first step would be to diagnose the nodularity and determine whether there is an option for surgical vs. non-surgical removal. Surgical excision is a possibility in some patients; whereas others with more diffuse fillers may benefit from intralesional therapy using scar modulators and enzymes and kenalog. Radiesse complications may be long-lasting and prompt action is key. Patients who have no access to an expert in the field should begin gentle massage of the areas of nodularity with Plato’s Scar Serum twice daily. RF and invasive lasers can actually do more damage by stimulating further collagen growth. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Removal I'm sorry to hear that you want to have your Radiesse removed, however it would be possible only by surgical excision. Once injected, Radiesse cannot be removed in any other way.

Answer: What Can I Do to Expedite the Elimination of Radiesse?
Im sorry to hear of your experience, there's nothing you could do to speed up your result from Radiesse. Once it has dissolved, you would look like your normal self.

Answer: What Can I Do to Expedite the Elimination of Radiesse?
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to dissolve Radiesse, fillers can vary from each individual but typically last 8-12 months. There is no definite evidence that exercising will shorten the longevity of your injectables, the best option for you is to wait it out till it dissolves on its own. It may be that you're still swollen, give it a few more weeks to settle before seeing your final result.

Answer: How to get rid of Radiesse Unfortunately there is no counter product to Radiesse, which can be intensely frustrating when you don't like it. Other fillers that are made of hyaluronic acid like Restylane and Juvederm can be dissolved, but there is no product to dissolve Radiesse. I am unsure when you had the injections, or where they were done on your face, so perhaps if you can post some photos we can help guide you to some other possible options. But there is no way to get rid of Radiesse other than time. It will go away in time and won't have any permanent effects so when it's gone you will return to what it looked like before.
