What does laser hair removal on your head do to you? Would it kill my brain cells?

Laser hair removal is a very superficial process. The target of the laser is the hair follicle which is very superficially located in the dermis. Additionally the wavelengths of light that are used by hair removal lasers are not in anyway harmful to growing brain cells. The lasers used in laser hair removal work very superficially, at the level of the hair follicle.  They are not able to penetrate deep enough to affect the brain cells.  Please make sure you seek out a doctor with experience for your hair removal.  Regards, Dr. D.

It is absolutely false that the laser can kill brain cells. The laser only penetrates a mm or 2 and cannot go through the bone. It will take 6-10 treatments for success and will require touch ups about every 6-12 months. Expect 75-80% improvement but not 100%.
