Implant capacity measurements, do grams weigh the same as cc?

Hello,  there is a subtle difference in the size of implants measured by weight versus volume, but the result would be similar with either a 375g or 375cc implant with the same profile.

the CC and grams are very similar for implants at 1cc of saline or silicone weighs about 1 gram... so it's a good estimate.

Hi.  For most practical purposes they are the same.  There is a slight difference in weight between 1cc of silicone and 1cc of saline.

They can be considered similar since the difference is very small. The actual weight of 1cc of silicon depends on the density of the gel, but it is slightly above 1g. Therefore, you can consider implants measured in grams marginally smaller than implants measured in cc.  A perfect conversion is impossible without knowing the characteristics of the specific gel.
