In August it wil be three years since my procedure. I was told it would last several years, but seeing it start to drop quickly. Is there a more inexpensive procedure to improve it now, before waiting too long?
Answer: Lower facelifts and its variants and their longevity You will always look younger having a facelift, lifestyle lift, short scar lift, mini lift, etc. for the rest our your life. Typically, these lower facelift and its variants will last 5-10 years depending on the individual patients age and skin quality and surgical technique used before requiring additional surgical lifting if desired. No lift will last forever but some techniques will give a longer lasting effect...this is why the time range 5-10 years is given. There is no one proprietary standard "lifestyle lift" technique just as there is not one standard type of lower facelift. So it is difficult to give a specific time period. In my hands the Lifestyle Lift was not a mini lift but a modified lower face and neck lift. Every surgeon will have a unique way he performs a lift according to individual patient's needs. Speak with your surgeon regarding how long their lift will typically last, revision rates, and patient satisfaction. One last note, look for the skill and experience of the surgeon rather than a specific branded lift or technique.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Seriously, how long should a Lifestyle Lift last? A properly performed facelift should last about ten years. The aging process continues immediately following surgery so seeing some laxity develop over time is normal. However, most patients are happy for up to a decade following facelift surgery. With regard to LSL, this is a brand as opposed to a procedure and I don't have enough information to comment on it specifically. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Mini Facelift Longevity The longevity of facelift results vary depending on many factors. The technique utilized by the surgeon is a key factor in determining longevity of results. "Skin Only" procedures where skin tightening is only performed do not have the longevity as more comprehensive techniques which tighten the underlying tissues (SMAS) providing more lasting results. Sun exposure, skin care, genetics, tobacco use, weight loss/gain are all factors which can play a part in the longevity of results. I would suggest you follow up with a board certified surgeon specializing in facial cosmetic surgery to discuss your revision options. Good Luck

Answer: Good results You have some nice results. You could consider skin resurfacing treatments or fillers to enhance the result of your surgery. Make sure you have realistic expectations, otherwise you are setting yourself up for a disapoointment. Good luck.
