Can I remove a mole by tying a string around it?

Thanks for your question. It is not possible to say for sure what is on the bottom of your foot, but regular raised moles are fairly rare on the bottom of the foot. I would ask your dermatologist to remove it and send it in for pathology to make sure it is not something to be concerned about. That way, you will have peace of mind and the lesion will be gone, or at least much more flat and not catch on things. If what you have is a wart, there are other treatment options for those. I am not sure tying a string around a wart or mole will help at all, and might cause difficulty walking and pain. Please see your dermatologist and they will steer you in the right direction.
