I am looking for a treatment to tighten the skin on my thighs (upper legs), but I have a copper IUD which excludes me from many options. I am slim, and I exercise, but in these areas, my skin remains looser, as if it lacks elasticity. Ideally, I would prefer a non-surgical option, please. (London, UK)
Answer: Tighter Thigh Skin Given your preferences and the presence of a copper IUD, which may limit certain treatment options, here are some non-surgical options that can potentially help tighten skin on the thighs (upper legs): Radiofrequency (RF) Treatments: RF treatments like Thermage, Venus Legacy, or Exilis use radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening loose skin. These treatments are non-invasive and can be effective for mild to moderate skin laxity. Ultrasound Treatments: Ultrasound-based treatments such as Ultherapy use focused ultrasound energy to target and tighten the deep layers of skin and stimulate collagen production. This can lead to gradual skin tightening over time. CoolSculpting with CoolTone: CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment that freezes and eliminates fat cells. CoolTone, a related treatment, uses electromagnetic muscle stimulation (EMS) to strengthen and tone muscles in the treated area, which can help improve overall thigh contour and indirectly enhance skin appearance. Laser Treatments: Laser technologies such as laser skin tightening (e.g., Titan) can heat the dermis and stimulate collagen production, improving skin elasticity and tightness. Topical Treatments: While not as effective as the aforementioned procedures, some topical creams and lotions containing ingredients like retinoids, peptides, or antioxidants may provide mild improvements in skin texture and elasticity. When considering these options: Consultation: It's crucial to consult with a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon specializing in non-surgical cosmetic procedures. They can assess your skin laxity, discuss your goals, and recommend the most suitable treatment based on your medical history (including the presence of a copper IUD). Realistic Expectations: Non-surgical treatments can provide noticeable improvements in skin tightness, but results may vary depending on the severity of skin laxity and individual factors. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results. Combination Approach: Depending on your specific concerns, your provider may recommend combining different treatments to address both skin laxity and contouring. By exploring these non-surgical options and working closely with a knowledgeable provider, you can find a solution that meets your goals for tightening the skin on your thighs while considering your medical history with the copper IUD.

Answer: Skin tightening on thighs with IUD Hello and thank you for your question! Unfortunately, the copper IUD does exclude you from skin tightening procedures with radio frequency energy like Bodytite or Morpheus8. Your uterus, where an IUD is placed, is very close to the treatment area, specifically upper and inner thighs. My advice would be to have an in-person consultation with a provider that offer skin tightening procedures so you can get all your questions answered. Good luck!

Answer: Skin tightening of the thighs The best tissue tightening device on the market today is called Renuvion or J plasma. The device works by administering a radio frequency signal to connective tissue of the thighs, which acts as a tissue wrap, like affect and pulls the skin closer to the muscle of the leg. This way, the jiggly appearance of the thigh is diminished, and I thought if yours to be quite a bit tighter. The procedure is however, minimally invasive. Make sure you find a plastic surgeon who specializes in such procedures and has at least one year or more in using this technology. I hope this helps and good luck from NEW YORK, CITY, PLASTIC, SURGERY.
