Hello Youngmind, Thank you for your question. BodyTite delivers radiofrequency energy both under the skin and on the surface, heating the tissue to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin while also melting small amounts of fat if present. For a 70-year-old patient, skin laxity is often more pronounced due to natural aging—collagen and elastin production slow down significantly, and skin loses its ability to bounce back as effectively as it does in younger individuals. You may already have lost fat in that inner thigh, so losing more would not benefit you. The inner thighs are especially tricky because the skin is thinner and less anchored to underlying structures, making laxity more noticeable. This is a common area of the body that patients have concerns with. For someone in their 70s, BodyTite can offer improvement, but the results depend on a few factors: the degree of laxity, the patient’s overall skin quality, and their health. If the laxity is mild to moderate—say, some sagging but not extreme drooping—BodyTite might tighten the skin enough to make a visible difference. It’s less invasive than surgery, with no large scars and a shorter recovery time. If there is significant hanging skin, which I cannot tell in this photograph—BodyTite alone might not cut it. Surgical options, like an inner thigh lift, are more effective at removing excess skin and reshaping the area, though they come with longer recovery and visible scarring. BodyTite won’t remove loose skin; it only tightens what’s there by boosting collagen. I would suggest consulting with several experienced Board Certified Surgeons in person so they can give their opinion of a realistic outcome. Good Luck, Adam Kinal MD
