I'm wanting to get the centre portion of my scar revised as its quite dark and thick, and according to my surgeon he needs to elevate the entirety of my scar. This would be the process according to him : resuspend the muscle and restitch the tissue. removing the scar tissue on the edges, raising again, the whole flat with umbrella, curse above the muscle fashion, and pulling down and re-suspending it in another position before restitching it.

Hi R4INBOW - I am assuming from your photograph that you have undergone a previous abdominoplasty / tummy tuck procedure and this part of the resulting scar. It appears from your photograph that your scar may be raised - a 'hypertrophic' scar. This risk of this happening is influenced by genetic factors, skin type, and tension across the wound at the time wound closure. If you have already tried non-operative scar management techniques, then one option is to revise the scar. It is unlikely that a full re-do tummy tuck would be required (which I think is what you are describing in your question), and that a simpler scar revision may be possible, but this would need to be assessed in a face to face consultation.
