Question

I had tear trough fillers 3 months go (redensity ii, 0.5ml per eye) for the third time and I’m very unhappy about my current result. I have attached a picture pre and post 3rd injection (current result). I am wondering what I should do next. Is it possible that this blue effect is permanent bruising? I am scared to have the product dissolved due to the side effects of the dissolving agent and also not happy to pay for new fillers at just 3 months. Thanks!

Hi there, thank you for your question.I would recommend that you discuss your concerns with the last provider that injected your tear troughs. Having a visible residual blue hue is a complication called Tyndall effect, it can happen if the filler was injected too superficially. The quickest way to rid yourself of this effect is by dissolving the filler. Again, I would recommend that you see if the practitioner/practice that performed the last injection would be willing to dissolve/refill for you at little to no cost before seeking treatment elsewhere, if you feel concerned with the financial aspect. Either have some removed or let it naturally wear off.  When treating the whole area with enzymes, about 90 percent is removed.  If you are uncertain, just wait.
