I had lipo almost 2 years ago. I was offered a revision lipo suction from the same clinic but with a different surgeon. Too much fat has been taken from the sides of my stomach leaving large dents. I had a revision in October 2022 and the dent is still there and now I have a bump over my stomach. Should I seek a new surgeon or risk a third surgery?
Answer: Vaser liposuction and J-Plasma needed Hello, thank you for your question! A bad Liposuction can only be corrected with Vaser liposuction. Because after the first surgery, there is connective tissue formation under the skin and this makes it very difficult to remove fat as desired with Liposuction. Liposuction was performed 2 times and as far as I can see, there is some loosening of the upper abdominal skin and also accumulation of skin over the belly button In this case, a skin tightening device should be added to the revision. I recommend j plasma after Vaserlipo. I recommend applying Renuvion J-Plasma together with Vaser Liposuction. Also, fat injection should be done in sunken places. Kind Regards

Answer: Poor Liposuction results To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures then ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Correcting previously poorly done Liposuction is very difficult. This becomes especially true if the first procedure was done aggressively, which appears to be the case with you. The more procedures you’ve had the more complex and difficult the situation becomes. There really are not a lot of options to try. Typical attempts consist of secondary Liposuction with or without fat transfer. Even with further surgery and potential improvement is going to be inherently limited. Liposuction is a permanent and more or less irreversible procedure. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons of truly mastered this procedure are in the minority. Being bored certified in plastic surgery with potentially having years of experience, and an overall good reputation is not me, and somebody has mastered anyone single plastic procedure. Revision work is much more difficult than Primary. Liposuction said the importance of finding us officially talented provider to give you an assessment and discuss what can, and cannot be accomplished with further surgery because of that speaking. Revision work is much more difficult than primary Liposuction, so the importance of finding a sufficiently talented provider to give you an assessment and discuss what can, and cannot be accomplished with further surgery goes without speaking. Attempts and revising Liposuction results can easily make things worse. I suggest patients focus the reference on provider selection by having multiple in person consultations before committing to any permanent irreversible body contouring procedure. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own. an experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing it before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best result of a providers career is insufficient to get confirmation that the provider has sufficient skill and experience to deliver quality results. The number of plastic surgeons who truly mastered Liposuction are in a small minority. Patients need to be more selective than they think necessary. Most plastic surgeons think they’re better at Liposuction than they actually are. I wish I could be more optimistic but at this point improvement is going to be challenging. Best, Mats Hagstrom,
