Hi I have had 5 micro needling and bio reepeel sessions on my Lipo scars but they don’t seem to be changing they are really quite red still please can you help me as these are really getting me down now I was expecting them to of turned white by now the scars are now 16 months old Thank you
Answer: Liposuction scars I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing redness on your Lipo scars despite multiple micro-needling and bio reepeel sessions. While these treatments can be effective for scar reduction and pigmentation, it's possible that they may not work for everyone or that more sessions are needed to see results. It's important to keep in mind that every individual's healing process is different, and scars can take time to fully mature and fade. The fact that your scars are 16 months old indicates that they are still in the process of healing, and may continue to change over time. If you haven't already, I would recommend speaking with your dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can assess the current state of your scars and provide you with personalized advice on next steps. They may suggest trying different treatments or combination of treatments, such as laser therapy or silicone sheets, to help reduce the appearance of your scars. It's also important to practice good scar care habits such as protecting your scars from the sun, keeping them moisturized, and avoiding any activities or behaviors that may exacerbate scarring such as smoking. Lastly, please remember that scars do not define your worth or beauty. While it's understandable to feel self-conscious about your scars, try to focus on the things that make you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin. Best of luck !

Answer: Vbeam to reduce redness combined with melarase creams to help minimize pigmentation Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Scars Scars on legs can take up to 24 months to fade. You do need to keep your scars covered and not exposed to sun. Laser treatments that remove excess brown pigment and red could be helpful.
