For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Your question about whether a FaceTite procedure can be performed under local anesthesia or sedation is very important. FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure used to firm and tighten the skin. It involves inserting a small cannula beneath the skin, which delivers radiofrequency energy to melt fat and tighten the skin. Although technically possible under local anesthesia or sedation, I'd like to emphasize the importance of patient safety and comfort.Any unexpected movement during the procedure could lead to undesired outcomes, including injury to critical structures in the neck such as the carotid artery and jugular vein. Therefore, to mitigate such risks, I prefer performing FaceTite procedures under general anesthesia. This ensures the patient is completely immobile and comfortable, which facilitates a more precise and safer operation.I wish you the best of luck in your chin liposuction procedure. I hope this answer helps guide you!Sincerely,Dr. Katzen
Hello ! A chin liposuction surgery can be done under local and without sedation . Best of luck !
Personally, I don’t think adding face tight. It’s going to make any difference. In particular I would choose providers based on the scale and experience as being far more important than what equipment they use. The procedure can be done with any form of anesthesia, including only local anesthesia. Using local anesthesia only may be a bit intense, and should only be done by providers who have sufficient experience doing awake liposuction procedures on patients who feel they can handle being awake during invasive procedures. Local anesthesia with mild sedation is in my opinion ideal and it’s what I do on a daily basis. If surgeons have not done much, Liposuction without general anesthesia than it is in your best interest to follow the guidance of the surgeon, including the use of general anesthesia if they recommend it.While it may be preferable to avoid a general anesthesia is far more important that you choose the right provider, regardless of what form of anesthesia they use.It is also important to get an accurate assessment to have a clear understanding of what does procedure can, and cannot accomplish. Individuals for seeking skin tightening in conjunction with Liposuction may in fact, not be a good candidate for Liposuction at all.Liposuction candidacy decreases with age. The best candidates are young individuals in their 20s. As patient advancing age and get to be in their 40s and 50s candidacy for Liposuction results declines rapidly. With the loss of skin elasticity, that age brings removing fat, can have detrimental issues related to the appearance of skin, contour, and usefulness. Do not expect skin tightening procedures, other than skin excision procedures, like a neck or face lift, to deliver anything much more than Liposuction alone.I have a little faith in secondary skin, tightening treatments like J plasma, a.k.a. Renuvion, facetite , or bodytite to do anything more than Liposuction alone. I say this based on first hand experience. In the end, there are only two variables that matter when it comes to cosmetic surgical procedures. The first is patient candidacy, and the second is provider selection. Candidacy is closely associated with getting an accurate assessment. An accurate assessment is the ability to differentiate various tissue layers and have a clear understanding of what the underlying problem is.Issues with facial contour are often primarily related to bone structure. Other tissue layers also contribute including skin, laxity, subcutaneous, fat, and how the platysma muscle drapes the neck. All of these procedures are permanent and irreversible. Patients should proceed with caution, making sure they have made a sufficient effort to find the most talented and experience provider.Good luck,Mats Hagstrom MD
