Deviated / crooked nose - Is it possible to get a good result? (Photos)
Hi everyone, I’m looking into getting my nose straightened and would really appreciate some opinions from surgeons who have experience correcting crooked noses. As you can see from my photos, my nose bends slightly to one side, particularly around the upper bony part and the middle of the bridge. When I was younger, I had a couple of incidents where I injured my nose — one time when I was around 7 or 8 after being punched, and another when I was around 17 from boxing. I wonder whether these could have contributed to the deviation or whether it’s simply how my nose developed. I had a rhinoplasty around 12 years ago, which improved the overall appearance of my nose and reduced a dorsal hump, but the deviation was never fully corrected. I’d like to get it as straight as possible while keeping it looking natural and not changing the overall shape too much. I’m trying to get a better idea of what’s likely to be involved. Would this usually require correcting both the bone and cartilage, and would anything need to be done to the tip? I’d also be interested to know how achievable a good, straight result would be in a case like mine, and whether it looks like a relatively straightforward correction or something more complicated given that I’ve already had rhinoplasty. Images 4 and 5 are an idea of what I’d be looking to achieve. I know it’s difficult to say much from photos alone, but any advice or opinions would be really appreciated. Thanks!
