How to fix chubby cheeks and wide jaw? (Photos)

Question

I am 26 and I wore braces, which pushed my teeth inside and caused my face to become chubby. I have done Aqualyx and masseter botox, which helped get rid of some fat, then I did facial Endolift (laser under my skin which melted some fat). I did not see major results from that. What can I do, which surgery would help me get rid of my chubby cheeks and wide jaw? My jaw was not wide before braces. I am also skinny overall.

Thank you for your question. A few important considerations before determining the right treatment: 1. The current photos are limited, especially for assessing bone structure and overall balance. In particular, side-profile images are necessary to evaluate chin projection and how the lower face relates to the rest of the facial anatomy. 2. Facial fullness or soft tissue volume in the lower face can be addressed through different approaches depending on your goals:
 • Less invasive:Buccal fat removal (bichectomy) may help create more definition in the mid-cheek area by reducing volume in the buccal fat pads. This option is often chosen for patients looking for a subtle refinement without significant downtime. • More invasive:If a more sculpted or sharply contoured jawline is desired, particularly with a pronounced V-line effect, a midface lift may be considered. This procedure repositions deeper tissue layers and can enhance facial angles when volume descent or soft tissue heaviness is contributing to the appearance.
Since you mentioned changes following orthodontic treatment, a full clinical evaluation&mdash;including photos from multiple angles&mdash;would help determine whether bone structure, soft tissue distribution, or dental alignment is playing the leading role.

Based off your photos - buccal fat removal can help with some cheek slimming. The upper part of your cheeks you pinch in your photos - ideally you don't want to reduce because it will then lead to your midface to start to sag and possibly leading to some jowling at an early age. Some chin lipo can help with the lower half of your face. I would recommend starting with some buccal fat removal and seeing how you heal and going from there.
