This line appeared after I had Botox at a chain clinic in March. Iwent back for a consultation but the adjustment didn’t fix it. I went to a proper Dr for my next treatment in June who suggested we fully freeze my forehead. This still hasn’t worked and the line is still there. I’m worried it will never go away. Have I ruined my face with a bargain basement treatment???

Answer: Facial vertical lines There are vertical lines caused by muscle action between the eyebrows (commonly called "elevens" due to the action of the corrugator muscles). There are also vertical lines caused by muscle action along the upper and lower lips (commonly called "smoker's lines" due to the action of the orbicularis oris muscle). When muscle action causes a rhytid, then it will respond well to botulinum toxin which blocks the muscle action. Other vertical lines on the face are not caused by muscle action. In these cases, the current reason presumed is that side sleeping creates them. Options to try are back sleeping and use of silk pillow cases. Another possible option is superficial filler injection.
