Is C02 Gas laser less effective than regular laser for targeting skin texture, sun damage, and aging?

I am looking to undergo laser resurfacing for textural issues, scarring, sun damage and aging. I have been offered c02 Gaas laser but can find very little information about this treatment online. I’m concerned it will be less effective than normal laser and don’t want to waste money.
