Sometimes bumps conform in the lip from excessive scar tissue formation. Many times, sky tissue can be reduced significantly with a dilute triamcinolone acetonide injection. If that is not helpful, it is fairly straightforward to surgically remove a small bump in the office without significant inconvenience, downtime, or scarring. Wishing you well moving forward. You will want to wait two weeks from the date of injection before seeing your final result. Sometimes it takes more than one treatment of hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation if you still have concerns.

The use of fillers can leave long-term results that are not related to residual product still being present.
We don’t quite understand the mechanism, but it’s most likely related to repeat trauma potentially with internal bleeding, causing inflammation and scar tissue formation.
It seems to be correlated to those who’ve had multiple procedures in the past, and especially if there was a particularly bad outcome, but it can happen under many circumstances.
People should recognize that fillers are not necessarily just temporary.
The lump is probably not filler product at this point, but is likely scar tissue and may persist indefinitely.
My best guess is will shrink slightly overtime.
