I had Botox in three areas and have been left with a droopy upper eyelid and asymmetric appearance. Can it take longer than 7 months for this to resolve or is it something else?

Answer: Resolution of Botox Eyelid Droop Botox complications, such as a droopy eyelid (ptosis), can occur, although they are relatively rare. These side effects usually appear within a few days of injection and typically resolve within a few weeks to months. Most literature suggests that Botox effects wear off within 3-4 months. However, if it's been 7 months and you're still experiencing a droopy eyelid and asymmetry, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider or the practitioner who administered the injections. They can evaluate your condition and determine if the prolonged effects are due to the Botox, a complication of the injection technique, or possibly an unrelated issue. Please remember that online advice cannot replace a proper medical consultation. Always seek professional medical advice for health concerns.

Answer: “Asymmetr after Botox I highly doubt that the asymmetry was created by Botox. Your left eye is a little bit higher than the right eye and this depends on the bony position of the eye socket. That also creates completely different eyelids and eyebrow height. If you look at your photographs from years ago, you’ll probably see exactly the same relationship. I hope this helps and good luck from Leonard Grossman MD Plastic & Reconstructive surgeon.
