Bad skin acne scarring. Can someone recommend what will work? (Photo)

Hi, I have been to 4 clinics in London, Harley Street and elsewhere and have received conflicting advice often slating the other treatments. I didn't really feel comfortable with any of them as I felt they just wanted to sell their products. None of these were doctors or dermatologists but they called themselves skin specialists. The conflicting advice has left me super confused and I just want a fix for my skin. Can someone recommend what will work :(

I'm almost positive that you were being hawked all kinds of expensive fraxel laser and RF treatments, which are the here-today-gone-tomorrow "next big things" that receive so much marketing hype and social media buzz. The fact is, however, that the hard science to support the use of these gizmos lags woefully behind the hype. You were extremely wise to be skeptical of the heavy sales pitches. The fact is that subcision, which I have been performing since 1995, remains a gold standard technique, for elevating and smoothing boxcar and rolling scars, and is relatively inexpensive and safe and effective in all skin types. Likewise, TCA CROSS, another inexpensive treatment which I have been performing for over twenty-three years, is a gold standard treatment for ice pick scars that has also been proven safe and effective in all skin types. Your job is to find an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist acne scar specialist. Koodos to you for not falling prey to the hype. Best of luck
