I got 330cc implants 2 years ago (5ft5, 104lbs), am 7 months postpartum now, just stopped breastfeeding. My right breast has always been more pointy after surgery but now i can clearly see the difference in shape and it’s not round like the other one. Should I be concerned and get revision surgery or is this asymmetry still normal? Also the areola looks way different
Answer: Breasts One breast is larger and sagging due to pregnancy and breast feeding. If this bothers you, then have it addressed. If you are content, especially in a bra, then leave it alone.

Answer: Asymmetry 2 years post op Your photo reveals fairly prominent asymmetry. This is likely due to your pregnancy. Depending on your goals you may want to consider additional surgery. It is premature to schedule a surgery at this time. As you have just completed breast feeding, your breasts will continue to change in appearance over time. I would suggest a return visit to your surgeon or another board-certified plastic surgeon when your breasts have stabilized, and the size and shape are no longer changing.

Answer: Post Pregnancy Changes It is important to remember that pregnancy changes more than just your weight. There will be changes in muscle and skin tone which in some cases will not return to baseline. The safest recommendation is to maintain a healthy lifestyle (diet and exercise) through pregnancy and afterwards. This will ensure a greater likelihood of a return to form. This is by no means a guarantee but it will help. Patients should be prepared for the possibility (eventuality) of further procedures in the future to regain your pre-pregnancy form. With regards to your specific question, new onset asymmetry following pregnancy and breast feeding is common. Some may resolve others may persist. It is best to allow for a 6 month period post partum or 3 a month period post cessation of breast feeding in order to return to a stable baseline. At that point, you can consider consultation to discuss your specific concerns. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Answer: Breast asymmetry Dear Tknn24, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Asymmetry It's too early to determine what if anything will be needed. You want to give your breasts 3 to 6 months after breastfeeding to settle and return to a baseline state. At that time if you have concerns you can visit your surgeon to discuss options.
